As part of the 16 Days of Action, the Irish Observatory on Violence Against Women, convened by NWCI, invites you to participate in a seminar – Women Seeking Justice – Prosecution for Violence Against Women on the 8th of December.
What: Women Seeking Justice – Prosecution for Violence Against Women

Where: Civic Offices, Wood Quay Venue, Wood Quay, Dublin 8
A panel of experts will focus on the prosecution for violence against women in Ireland and explore how victims of violence against women can be best supported in the prosecution process.
Speakers include: Maria McDonald BL and co-founder of the Victims’ Rights Alliance and Rebecca Coen, BL, Office of the DPP.
Our panel discussion will include: a representative from the Garda National Protective Services Bureau; Emma Murphy, public speaker and domestic violence advocate; Tom O’Malley, Senior Lecturer in Law at NUIG and a member of the Irish Law Reform Commission; and Margaret Martin, CEO of Women’s Aid and Observatory member.
The panel will be chaired by Conor Gallagher, Journalist with the Irish Times.
