It is now just over one year since People’s Needs Defining Change – Health Services Change Guide was introduced and attached is an update on implementation from June 2018 – July 2019.
We are very pleased that the Change Guide won the Best Change Management Programme at the Leadership and Management Awards 2019 and would like to acknowledge the contribution of all those who worked with us to make it a success.
Feedback throughout the year has been very encouraging with users finding the Change Guide comprehensive, helpful and practical to use. We will continue to act on feedback and improve the digital and online resources as needed.
The Change Guide has received very clear endorsement from Paul Reid, HSE Chief Executive Officer and his support to improve change capacity at all levels. We are now focused on the following key actions:
- Communications and Awareness
- Alignment and Synergy at Strategic Level
- Education and Practice Development
- Cohesion and Practice Improvement at Delivery Level
With active support across the organisation we look forward to continued progress on the ambition to make the health services more ‘change able’ by having more people doing change well. Together we can ensure that our service users, families, citizens and staff experience good change practices which support the delivery of Safer Better Healthcare.
