Healthy Ireland HSE Operation Transformation (OT) Love Life Love Walking Day,  14th February, 2018

Due to popular demand, the HSE Operation Transformation Love Life – Love Walking Day is happening again this year on Wednesday 14th February.

Well done to the many staff taking part in activities as part of Healthy Ireland RTE Operation Transformation. In keeping with this theme, the HSE is encouraging all staff to participate in a walk with their workplace colleagues on Valentine’s Day, Wednesday 14th February.

Love Life Love Walking is one of a suite of activities we are building for staff health and wellbeing. This event will be followed with the Steps to Health Challenge in April, 2018.

The Love Life Love Walking event is a great opportunity to take time out of your busy schedule for a walk. It doesn’t matter if its 10 or 20 minutes, 2 or 22 colleagues, walk around your workplace building/campus/Sli na Slainte. As this year’s Love Life Love Walking Day is also Ash Wednesday, why not introduce a Tobacco Free theme to your walk.

This HSE Healthy Ireland event brings together Values in Action (VIA), Staff Engagement and Staff health and wellbeing. Our VIA mobilisers have suggested that we need to be more aware of how our behaviours can better support one another at work. One of the VIA behaviours is “putting  ourselves in other peoples shoes”. So while you grab your walking shoes – why not catch up with colleagues and talk about putting our VIA behaviours into action. Why not talk about “Putting Ourselves in Other Peoples Shoes” and think about how we can better support each other.
