Subject: Updated Broadcast Email: Flu clinics Dublin North – Occ Health STARTING TODAY, Plus DNW, DNC & Addiction Services & Lusk CU

A reminder that the flu vaccination clinics are now in progress. Please see below for details of clinics in Occupational Health, Addiction services and Primary Care in Dublin North West and Dublin North City

We would encourage all HSE staff to avail of the free Influenza Vaccine, which is being provided during over the coming weeks. Flu can cause serious complications such as pneumonia especially in those aged 65 and older, children under 4 years of age, those with long term medical conditions and pregnant women. We have to remember that if you get the ‘flu’, the virus may pass to your patients for a full 24 hours before you show any symptoms. Please consider how many patients you may be in contact within one day and consider the serious effects the flu virus may have on them.

Information for Healthcare Workers on the vaccine is available on the HSE website at the following link:

The following clinics will be run in the Occupational Health Department based in Connolly Hospital and I have listed some of the dates for October below for your information. These are the walk-in clinics, requiring no appointment. Please note that vaccines will be given strictly within these clinic times only. Please remember to wear appropriate clothing – the vaccine is administered in the shoulder
