Closing Soon – Evaluation of the National Dementia Strategy

You are invited to take part in the evaluation of the National Dementia Strategy and its Implementation Plan by completing the survey below. Researchers from University College Cork (UCC), in partnership with the market research company IPSOS MORI have been commissioned by the Health Service Executive (HSE) to complete this evaluation.  The survey will close on November 5th 2018.

The purpose the National Dementia Strategy, introduced in 2014, is to improve life for people with dementia in Ireland. We would like to hear your views about the National Dementia Strategy and its Implementation Plan and how it has impacted you and your organisation as a health and/or social care provider. You are invited to complete this questionnaire electronically and share your views. All your responses will be anonymous and confidential. Your responses will be combined with others to produce an aggregated report.  No one individual will ever be identified.

We are aware that some staff members have had issues accessing the survey. If you are unable to access the survey using the below link, please contact a member of the research team (Laura) on 021 420 5747 or e-mail laura.ophilbin@ucc.ie  who will be able to assist you.  The survey can be accessed on the Understand Together website at:

Please note the survey needs to be completed in one sitting, and should take approximately 20 minutes of your time

It is crucial to get the perspective of health and social care providers in this evaluation, as results will likely contribute to future work on dementia in Ireland. This is the ideal opportunity to have you say in relation to the National Dementia Strategy. You do not have to have any knowledge of the National Dementia Strategy to take part.

Many thanks in advance for your participation.
