Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP®)
Five Day Facilitator Training
For HSE Staff, Service Users and Family Members
In CHO Areas 6, 7 and 9
WRAP® is an evidence based approach which supports people in managing their wellness recovery and is internationally recognised as one of the most popular self-management tools for maintaining mental health (Slade, 2009).
Five Day WRAP® Facilitator Training will be delivered by EVE, a department in HSE, by Advanced Level WRAP® Facilitators, accredited by the Copeland Centre. Details are as follows:
Dates: 16th, 17th, 20th, 21st and 22nd November 2017
Location: EVE, Brú Chaoimhín, Cork Street, Dublin, 8.
Time: 9am – 5pm
A distinctive and highly valued feature of the programme is the opportunity for staff and service users to train together as WRAP® facilitators. Applications are invited from HSE staff, service users and family members who have attended a level one WRAP® programme delivered by Copeland Centre accredited facilitators, use their own WRAP®, have an interest in becoming a WRAP® facilitator and have capacity to co-facilitate a WRAP® programme. Interested applicants must have completed a WRAP® Level One programme with a Copeland Centre trained facilitator prior to applying for this facilitator training. If you would like more details, please contact Kristin Wilson at email@example.com.
For HSE staff, service users and family members, there is no cost for attendance on the programme. However, participants are expected to purchase their own facilitator manuals to bring along to the training. They can be purchased from www.mentalhealthrecovery.com. As delays with shipping can occur, participants are advised to order these materials upon receiving confirmation of a place on the facilitator programme.
Please note that places are limited. Priority will be given to individuals from the same service who will be in a position to co-facilitate after the training or to individuals who can demonstrate that they have access to a qualified facilitator with whom they can co-facilitate post-training. A commitment to working in accordance with the values and ethics of WRAP is a pre-requisite for the programme.
Please note that closing date for this training programme is 15th September 2017.
