The Danish Association of Health Visitors is pleased to present the 4th International Conference in Public Health Nursing at Legoland Hotel & Conference Centre, Billund, Denmark on the 19th and 20th of September 2016.
The scientific committee of the conference has prepared a wide and varied programme, which will include presentations of different sides of Public Health Nursing worldwide. The programme contains many topics presented by a range of keynote speakers.
There will be governmental input and public health nurses will share their own experiences in four parallel sessions: clinical, scientific, educational and management.
We hope that the conference will provide a basis for future collaboration and shared experience within Public Health Nursing. Ms Julia Samuelson BSN, MPH from the World Health Organisation, will give a talk on populations and innovative prevention. Ms Viv Bennet, Director of the Nursing Department of Public Health in the UK, will discuss Public Health Nursing today. Dr Birgitte Astrup-Schmidt PhD, will present a talk on trafficking and domestic violence and Stine Byberg, MSc, PhD, will discuss vaccines possibilities and challenges. There will also be a discussion on obesity, the speaker is yet to be announced.
We welcome abstracts on different perspectives within public health nursing. Abstract submission is free of charge and accepted abstracts will be presented as short oral presentations as well as posters. All abstracts will be published in the Book of Conference, which will be available after the conference. Abstract submission is open from 1st of December 2015 and closes on the 15th of April 2016.
