The Association of Lactation Consultants of Ireland is delighted to announce that its’ Annual All Ireland Spring Study Day will take place this year on Saturday 10th March at the HSE-RCSI Building at University Hospital Waterford. Booking is available here and the timetable is here.
The day begins with Dr. Justin Roche MBChB MRCPCH who will present case studies of babies from his Infant Feeding Centre and their management. Then physiotherapist Patricia Weldon will address mothers’ experiences with breastfeeding difficulty. Afterwards Claire Bulfin IBCLC will share the most frequently asked questions on the HSE website Breastfeeding.ie. The final session will entail a workshop involving various case studies of ethical dilemmas that IBCLCs must negotiate as part of their work.
The event is for ALCI members only, and all are welcome to join or renew, and register for the event online. Handouts, lunch and refreshments are included in the registration fee of € 30 at the early bird rate (and € 40 after Friday 23rd of February). IBLCE CERPs and NMBI CMUs have been applied for.
